About Us

Paleewong Trading is a family business started 30+ years ago with a store front selling imported groceries from Thailand.

When the first Thai restaurant opened up in Chinatown (it’s still there called Pongsri Chinatown!), they started buying Singha Beer at a steady rate. Slowly but surely more Thai restaurants opened up and sales for Singha increased.

First it was New York, then it was Chicago, Boston, DC, city by city Paleewong grew to the point where the grocery business was put on hold and the distribution business took precedence with Singha Beer as the flagship brand.

Now with offices in New York and LA, Paleewong Trading also imports Thai wines and sakes along with running a wholesale beer operation out of the headquarter offices.

This blog is mainly for us to keep track of what we do, but it’s also for anyone who cares to read everything that goes into a family beer business.
